Qld: Dingo attacks 4yo tourist on Fraser Island

Rangers are searching for a dingo that attacked a four-year-old boy on Queensland's
Fraser Island.

The child was walking with his family along a beach at Hook Point on Wednesday when
the animal knocked him to the ground and bit him on the legs.

Rangers believe they know the animal responsible for the attack .. but are yet to track it down.

Sustainability Minister KATE JONES says while such attacks on the island are rare ..

rangers will be ramping up their dingo awareness campaign on the beach and on barges.
