Fed: Rudd welcomes Saddam capture, security implications unknown

Labor's foreign affairs spokesman KEVIN RUDD has welcomed the capture of former Iraqi
dictator SADDAM HUSSEIN.

But Mr RUDD says the security implications of SADDAM'S capture are unknown as terrorist
groups may try to make their way into Iraq now he's gone.

Mr RUDD has told ABC radio that no-one knows what will happen yet.

But he says SADDAM'S capture is an overwhelmingly positive development for the Iraqi people.
