Sep. 21--Winslow Memorial Hospital will remain an independent entity from Northern Arizona Healthcare, but the parent company of FMC will be taking more of an interest in the operations of the rural hospital 40 miles east of Flagstaff.

NAH and Winslow memorial completed an agreement last week that will allow the hospital to tap NAH for various services. It also will make two top executives at the hospital answerable to Steve Carlson, president of Flagstaff Medical Center and senior executive officer of the northern region for NAH. It is in this second capacity that Carlson will work with Winslow.
